The 14 Chemical Biological Radiology Nuclear and Explosive (CBRNE) Response Regiment of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers proudly celebrated its 17th Anniversary on 15 July 2025, with a series of ceremonious and spirited events that reflected the proud traditions, discipline, and camaraderie of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers.
The commemorative programme commenced on 15 July with a serene Bodhi Pooja held at the Unit premises. All Officers and Other Ranks gathered in reverence to invoke blessings for the continued prosperity, strength, and unity of the Regiment. This spiritual beginning set a reflective and meaningful tone for the anniversary celebrations.
One of the key highlights of the celebrations was a spirited inter-squadron cricket encounter held on 21 July 2025. This event brought together Officers and Other Ranks in a display of teamwork, sportsmanship, and mutual respect. The tournament was widely appreciated for its competitive spirit and served to further strengthen the strong sense of unity within the Regiment.
The celebrations culminated on 23 July with a series of formal military events. A Guard Turnout was presented at the main entrance in honour of the Commanding Officer, recognizing his leadership and service. This was followed by a ceremonial battalion parade, showcasing the Regiment’s impeccable discipline, precision, and cohesion.
To commemorate the anniversary, Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks gathered for a group photograph, capturing the spirit of unity and pride that defines the Regiment. A traditional all ranks lunch followed, fostering fellowship and mutual respect among all personnel a hallmark of the Regiment’s culture.
The 17th Anniversary of the 14 CBRNE Response Regiment stands as a testament to its enduring legacy of excellence, and professionalism. As the Regiment reflects on its distinguished past, it also looks ahead with confidence, ready to meet future challenges with unwavering commitment and resolve.
