GENEROUS DONATION OF HEARING AIDS AND SPECTACLES TO THE CORPS OF SRI LANKA ENGINEERS

The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers received a generous donation of Hearing Aids and Spectacles from Mrs. Charmani Bernadine Anthony and Mr. Joseph Anthony of the Lions Club. The donation ceremony took place on Tuesday, 18th February 2025, at the Regimental Centre of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers.

The Hearing Aids and Spectacles were officially handed over to Major General Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, along with Mrs. Surangi Amarapala, President of the SLE Seva Vanitha Branch. This noble gesture aims to support the welfare of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers by providing essential assistance to those in need.

The donated items will soon be distributed among deserving members of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers and their families through a dedicated medical camp. This initiative highlights the commitment of the SLE Seva Vanitha Branch to enhancing the well-being of service personnel and their loved ones, ensuring they receive the necessary medical support to improve their quality of life.

The Seva Vanitha Branch extends its heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Charmani Bernadine Anthony, Mr. Joseph Anthony, and the Lions Club for their invaluable contribution. Their generosity will undoubtedly bring immense relief and improvement to the lives of the beneficiaries, reinforcing the spirit of care and service within the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers.

The event was attended by several distinguished personnel, including Centre Commandant Colonel F Joseph USP and Deputy Centre Commandant Colonel M D J Wickramaarachchi USP psc ptsc.
