Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers bid a heartfelt farewell to Major General P P A Perera Hdmc psc with military honours and greetings on Monday, 15th July 2024, marking the conclusion of his distinguished military service spanning over 34 years in the Sri Lanka Army.
The day's proceedings commenced with a Guard Turnout and a colourful Guard of Honour at the Regimental Parade Ground, followed by inviting the retiring Senior Officer with his family to the Office by the Director General Financial Management and the Colonel Commandant of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Major General Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc.
In line with farewell formalities, a convivial tea party was arranged at the Regimental Officers' Mess, attended by Senior Officers and Officers of the Corps.
Further, the farewell Dinner Night, graced by Sapper Officers and their spouses, was hosted in honour of the retiring Senior Officer. There the Colonel Commandant, delivered the farewell note, expressing deep gratitude for the retiring Senior Officer's exemplary service. Major General P P A Perera Hdmc psc, in response, extended his appreciation to the Colonel Commandant and all ranks of the Corps for the unwavering support they extended throughout his tour of duty in the Sri Lanka Army.
