VISIT OF THE GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING OF THE SRI LANKA ARMY ENGINEER DIVISION TO THE PLANT ENGINEER BRIGADE

Major General SPG Gamage RWP RSP USP, the General Officer Commanding of the Sri Lanka Army Engineer Division made his official visit to Plant Engineer Brigade, Kantale on 11 January 2025. Upon the arrival of the General Officer Commanding was accorded with a Drive Pass and warmly welcomed by Commander (Overlooking) Plant Engineer Brigade.

The Commander (Overlooking) Plant Engineer Brigade introduced the Brigade Staff and appointment holders to the visiting two-star General. The General Officer Commanding planted a sapling to commemorate his visit to the Plant Engineer Brigade. In line with the programme, the General Officer Commanding then posed for a group photograph with Officers and Other Ranks.

During the troop address, the General Officer Commanding emphasized how to manage military life, personal life and management of salary with the prevailing economic crisis. At the end of the address, Commander (Overlooking) Plant Engineer Brigade presented a memento to the General Officer Commanding of the Sri Lanka Army Engineer Division.

Then, the Senior Officer participated in the all ranks tea to interact with Brigade troops. The General Officer Commanding attended for a detailed briefing by the Commander (Overlooking) Plant Engineer Brigade and finally the General Officer Commanding left his remarks in the Visitors’ Book at the Brigade Headquarters prior to his departure.
