The Chief Field Engineer and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corp of Engineers Major General M K Jayawardena RSP VSV USP ndu made his official visit to Field Engineer Brigade and 8 Field Engineer Regiment at Boo Oya on 27 March 2023. The Colonel Commandant on his arrival was warmly welcomed by the Commander Field Engineer Brigade.
The visit was commenced with a Drive pass and followed by briefing and discussion with officers, Troop Address and Group photograph.
During his speech, the Colonel Commandant emphasized to the troops the importance of career advancement and new welfare arrangements taken by the RHQ SLE to enhance the career course participation of both officers and ORs .Furthermore the Colonel Commandant highlighted the importance of money management for facing current economic inflation of the country and also maintain a good army carrier and family life as a soldier.
