SRI LANKA ARMY ENGINEER DIVISION CONDUCTS LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME FOR STUDENTS OF DEFENCE SERVICES COLLEGE - COLOMBO

On 05 April 2025 the Sri Lanka Army Engineer Division conducted a dynamic leadership programme for 100 students from Defence Services College Colombo. The event, which took place at the Defence Service College premises, aimed to inspire the next generation of leaders by equipping them with essential leadership skills and values.

The programme, organized by the Sri Lanka Army Engineer Division, was designed to enhance the leadership abilities of the students.Through a series of engaging activities, workshops, and interactive sessions, the students gained valuable insights into teamwork, responsibility and problem-solving.

The leadership initiative is part of the Army's broader efforts to nurture young minds and instill qualities such as discipline, resilience and strategic thinking key traits required of future leaders in any field.

Students participated in various activities that simulated real-world leadership challenges, encouraging them to collaborate, make decisions under pressure and take on leadership roles within their teams. This programme included leadership-building games, team exercises and motivational talks by Army officials who shared their experiences.

At the conclusion of the event, both students and teachers, including the Principal, highly admired the programme for its engaging and impactful approach. The leadership sessions not only imparted vital skills but also left a lasting impression on everyone involved. The Principal lauded the programme for its positive contribution to shaping future leaders and expressed hope for similar initiatives in the future.

The leadership programme concluded with a formal ceremony where certificates were awarded to the students who participated, marking the successful completion of an enriching experience.This initiative is expected to leave a lasting impression on the students, preparing them for future challenges while fostering a sense of duty, honor, and service to their country.
