In a heartfelt act of service and compassion, the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers donated hearing aids and spectacles to the residents of Thusitha Elders Home. This thoughtful contribution was made under the leadership of Mrs. Surangi Amarapala, President of the Seva Vanitha Branch, whose dedication to community service continues to make a meaningful impact.
The donation was gratefully received on behalf of the home by Mrs. Charmani Bernadine Anthony and Mr. Joseph Anthony of the Lions Club.
This charitable initiative was undertaken with the aim of enhancing the quality of life for the elderly residents by addressing essential health concerns related to hearing and vision. Aging often brings challenges such as hearing loss and impaired eyesight, which can lead to social withdrawal and reduced daily engagement. Recognizing these challenges, the Seva Vanitha Branch took meaningful action to provide much-needed support.
