SAPPERS SECURED RUNNERS UP: ARMY INTER-REGIMENT GOLF TOURNAMENT 2025

The Army Inter-Regiment Golf Tournament 2025, organized by the Army Golf Committee, was held on 14 and 15 January at Nuwara Eliya Golf Course. This marked the first time the tournament was hosted at this venue, offering participants a unique opportunity to gain experience on this prestigious course.

The closing ceremony was graced by the Commandant (Overlooking) of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force, the Commander of Security Forces (West), the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, and the Chairman of the Army Golf Committee, Major General AHLG Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, as the chief guest. Major General Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc elevated the enthusiasm of the players with his inspiring speech and active participation in the tournament as a golfer.

The tournament has designed to promote excellence among Army golfers, the tournament featured seven competitive categories for both men and women with focusing to the Defence Services Golf Tournament 2025. At the end of the tournament the golf accessories were distributed to recognize outstanding performances, further motivating the participants and admiring their skills.

The successful conduct of the event was made possible with the invaluable support of Brigadier N Hathurusinghe (Retd), Manager of the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club. At the conclusion of the tournament, the Sapper golfers stood out with remarkable achievements, showcasing their dedication, discipline, and commitment to excellence.
