Major General Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, Commander Security Forces (West) and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers inaugurated the fully renovated Lieutenants’ Block at the Regimental Officers’ Mess on December 11th. This renovation marks a milestone in the Corps' efforts to enhance facilities for junior officers.
The upgraded Lieutenants’ Block addresses a long-standing requirement for modern and efficient accommodations, ensuring that newly commissioned officers in the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers benefit from a comfortable and conducive environment. This initiative reflects the Corps' commitment to fostering professionalism and enhancing the well-being of its junior officers, empowering them to perform their duties with greater confidence and focus.
Major General Lanka Amarapala commended the 4(V) Engineer Regiment for their dedication, planning, and execution of the renovation project. Their hard work was instrumental in transforming the facility into a contemporary space that aligns with current standards.
The event was graced by the presence of senior officers, including Major General SPG Gamage RWP RSP USP, Commander of the Sri Lanka Army Engineer Division, and Colonel F Joseph USP, Centre Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, along with both senior and junior officers of the Corps.
