MAJOR GENERAL LANKA AMARAPALA RWP RSP ndc psc RECEIVES MILITARY HONOURS AT THE ARMY HEADQUARTERS

In a fitting tribute to an illustrious military career, Major General Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, was accorded a ceremonious and dignified farewell at the Army Headquarters on Friday, 20th June 2025.

Upon his arrival at the Army Headquarters, Major General Lanka Amarapala was received with military grandeur. A Guard Turnout saluted his presence, followed by a warm welcome extended by Major General K V N P Premarathe RSP USP psc, the Adjutant General of the Sri Lanka Army. The ceremonial honours continued with a stately Guard of Honour presented by smartly turned-out troops of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers — a proud reflection of Major General Lanka Amarapala’s long-standing association and leadership within the organization and beyond.

Following the ceremonial segment, Major General Lanka Amarapala took time to interact with fellow Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks before posing for a group photograph with all personnel present — capturing a memorable moment of camaraderie and deep mutual respect.

The event marked not just a farewell, but a celebration of a legacy defined by steadfast service, exceptional leadership, and an enduring contribution to the Sri Lanka Army. His departure leaves behind a trail of inspiration for future generations of officers, while his legacy will remain etched in the annals of the Sri Lanka Army.
