LIEUTENANT COLONEL K W K R JAYASINGHE RSP psc SLE ASSUMED DUTIES AS THE 11TH COMMANDING OFFICER OF THE 14 CBRNE RESPONSE REGIMENT

Lieutenant Colonel K W K R Jayasinghe RSP psc SLE assumed duties as the 11th Commanding Officer of the 14 Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRNE) Response Regiment of the Sri Lanka Engineers on 14 October 2025, at the Regimental Headquarters in Mattegoda, during a formal military ceremony.

On arrival, the new Commanding Officer was warmly welcomed by Major G G A S P K Ganegoda SLE, the Second in Command, and was honoured with a Guard Turnout followed by a ceremonial Battalion Parade, showcasing the Regiment’s discipline, professionalism, and deep-rooted military traditions that reflect its proud legacy within the Sappers.

Newly appointed Commanding Officer officially signed the documents of assumption of duties amidst religious observances, symbolizing the commencement of his new command.

The ceremony was attended by the Second in Command, all Officers, and Other Ranks of the Regiment. The event marked a significant moment in the Regiment’s proud history, welcoming new leadership and vision for the future.
