In honor of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers' 73rd anniversary, the Sapper Officers' Mess Night gathered officers for an evening rich in tradition, camaraderie, and reflection. This distinguished event, held on November 9 at the Regimental Officers’ Mess, showcased cherished military customs and offered a meaningful occasion to celebrate the Corps’ heritage while strengthening unity among officers.
The evening was marked by elegance and tradition, with every aspect meticulously conducted to honor regimental customs. Highlights included ceremonial toasts, a formal address by the Colonel Commandant, and thoughtful reflections on the Corps’ impressive journey over the past seven decades.
Major General Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, Commander of Security Forces (West) and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers delivered an inspiring anniversary address. His heartfelt message emphasized the importance of unity and professionalism, reminding officers of their roles as leaders and exemplars within the Corps. He encouraged them to uphold the Corps’ core values and standards, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and mutual respect across all ranks.
