EDUCATIONAL AID PROGRAMME ORGANIZED BY SEVA VANITHA BRANCH SUPPORTS CHILDREN OF 1 FIELD ENGINEER REGIMENT SOLDIERS

In line with the concept of the President of the Seva Vanitha Branch, Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Mrs. Lilanthi Dolage, the 1 Field Engineer Regiment organized an Educational Aid Donation Programme on Friday, 15th August 2025 at the Regimental Convention Centre, Panagoda.

The programme aimed to provide much-needed educational support to children of soldiers with more than three school-going children in their families. Each student beneficiary received a comprehensive pack containing essential school supplies, including books, stationery, and school bags, to ensure they are better equipped for their academic journey.

This initiative was made possible through the generous sponsorship of Mr. UAAR Ukwaththa, President of the Lions Club of Horana Midcity, whose consistent support and coordination were instrumental in the success of the event. Importantly, the beneficiaries will continue to receive educational assistance on a monthly basis until the end of the year.
