In line with welcoming the New Year 2026, the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers organized a dry ration packs donation programme for civil servants on Tuesday, 30 December 2025 at the Regimental Centre SLE as part of its ongoing welfare initiatives.
The programme was aimed at promoting goodwill, care, and social responsibility during the New Year season, which is traditionally associated with sharing and compassion. Dry ration packs containing essential food items were distributed to 20 civil servants to provide assistance and encouragement at the commencement of the New Year.
While primarily organized as a New Year welfare initiative, the programme also extended support to a limited number of individuals who experienced difficulties due to the recent Ditwa Cyclone, reflecting the Seva Vanitha Branch’s continued commitment towards social responsibility and humanitarian assistance.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Mrs. Lilanthi Dolage, President of the SLE Seva Vanitha Branch, whose leadership and dedication contributed significantly to the successful implementation of the programme.
The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers remains committed to supporting welfare-oriented activities through practical and timely initiatives, contributing positively to the well-being of civil servants and the SLE community through continued care and responsibility.
