ASSUMING DUTIES AS THE 10TH COMMANDING OFFICER OF 11 FIELD ENGINEER REGIMENT

Major D M R C Dunusinghe psc SLE assumed duties as 10th Commanding Officer of 11 Field Engineer Regiment on 08 November 2024 at Headquarters of 11 Field Engineer Regiment Nawatkuli, Jaffna with a formal military ceremony.

The incoming Commanding Officer was warmly welcomed by Major T M A S Senevirathne SLE, the Second in Command and saluted with the Guard Turnout. The newly appointed Commanding Officer symbolically placed his signature for an official document amidst religious blessings to signify the acceptance of the duties. As a military tradition, he was invited to add memories by planting a pomegranate sapling and followed by troops address and all ranks tea party. Second in Command, all Officers and Other ranks attended the occasion.
