The 9 Field Engineer Regiment ceremonially bid farewell to its outgoing Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel B D J Rangajeewa USP psc SLE, on 28 November 2025. The event, held with full military decorum at the 9 Field Engineer Regiment, Kokavil, marked the conclusion of a distinguished period of leadership and service.
The programme included a Guard Turnout, All Ranks Tea, and Street Lining in honour of the outgoing Commanding Officer. These events were conducted with the participation of the Unit’s Second-in-Command, Major S A A H Dias RSP SLE, along with all Officers and Other Ranks of the unit, who collectively appreciated the exemplary leadership extended by Lieutenant Colonel B D J Rangajeewa USP psc SLE during his tenure from 06 May 2024 to 28 November 2025.
