14 CHEMICAL BIOLOGICAL RADIOLOGY NUCLEAR AND EXPLOSIVE RESPONSE REGIMENT BID FAREWELL TO OUTGOING COMMANDING OFFICER LIEUTENANT COLONEL M J SALGADU RSP USP SLE

14 Chemical Biological Radiology Nuclear and Explosive Response Regiment ceremoniously bid farewell to its outgoing Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel M J Salgadu RSP USP SLE, on 14th October 2025. The event, held with full military decorum at the 14 CBRNE Response Regiment, Mattegoda, marked the conclusion of a distinguished chapter of leadership and service.

Upon his arrival, the outgoing Commanding Officer was warmly welcomed by the Second in Command of the 14 CBRNE Response Regiment, Major G G A S P K Ganegoda SLE, and was honoured with a traditional Guard Turnout at the main entrance followed by the Battalion parade.

Lieutenant Colonel M J Salgadu RSP USP SLE served as the 10th Commanding Officer of 14 CBRNE Response Regiment from 28th March 2024 to 14th October 2025. During his tenure, he rendered unwavering and exemplary service to the 14 CBRNE Response Regiment, earning admiration as a respected leader, visionary mentor, and officer of exceptional character. Throughout his tenure he displayed remarkable leadership and commitment, uplifting the overall standards of the Regiment through his professionalism, discipline, and forward-thinking approach. His ability to maintain unity, inspire confidence, and lead by example made him a highly respected and admired figure among all ranks.
