  • SINHA SEVA VANITHA BRANCH AGM WAS HELD AT RC SLSR AMBEPUSSSA

    The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch (SLSR-SVB) was held on 30 January 2022 under the patronage of the Colonel of the Regiment SLSR and Commander Security Force (West), Major General Kithsiri Liyanage, at the main auditorium, Regimental Centre SLSR, Ambepussa, while adhering all the health precautions and guidelines stipulated to prevent COVID-19 outbreak.

  • KEGALLE DISTRICT WAR VETERANS’ WORKSHOP HELD AT RC SLSR

    With the aim of identifying war hero families in Kegalle district, in relation to their issues such as missing in actions, disabled, and those who have left the army particularly wounded in Action or medical board , one day workshop was conducted under the patronage of the Directorate of Rehabilitation, Veteran Affairs and jointly by the all directorate of the Sri Lanka Army on 26 January 2022 at Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, Ambepussa.

    Major General Kithsiri Liyanage, Commander Security Force (West) and Colonel of the Regiment Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) visited Regimental Centre on 22 January 2022 (Saturday) with the objective of monitoring and assessing the progress of the new Corporals’ Club building, new Cricket turf, War heroes’ Monument and Flag posts under construction at the Regimental Centre Ambepussa.

    The funeral of Brigadier Panduka Perera, Commander, 563 Brigade of the Security Force HQ-Wanni who passed away on Friday (31) while receiving treatment for post-recovery medical complications of the COVID-19 virus at the Infectious Disease Hospital at Mulleriyawa took place at Eldeniya cemetery this afternoon (3) amidst military honours and a gathering of his close military colleagues, family members and mourners.
