In line with the honour of 73rd Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army (Army day), troops of 11 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment with the sponsorship of Mr Thanoj Biyagama and members of the ‘Api Manussayo’ association, distributed 75 dry ration packets each worth Rs. 5,000.00 to the needy families who live in the Mangalagama, Keviliyamadu, Thanthamale areas of the Gemunupura GS Division. Meantime, 31 pregnant women’s in the area also received a gift pack each worth Rs.10, 000.00 in a programme which was held at Sri Dharmarama Viharaya, Mangalagama on 03 October 2022.

Troops of 7 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment organized a Children’s Day Programme for Preschool Children living in Bogaswewa I, Bogaswewa II, and Namalgama areas. The programme was held at the Bogaswewa Dam premises on 30 September 2022. Similarly, the children of the Selalihinigama, Nandimitragama and Etabagaskada also participated in the programme. The Children were distributed gift packs, provided Lunch and they enjoyed the fun-making games and were entertained by the music to make Children’s Day meaningul.
