While standing on the eve of retirement, the senior Officer undertook courtesy visits to under command units which are located at Polhengoda to pay gratitude to all Officers and Other Ranks of SLCMP.

The programme itinerary consisted with the war heroes commemoration held on 22 March 2024 at 2nd Regiment Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police Giritale , a pirith chanting and alms giving programme held at Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police on 27 March 2024 followed by a ceremonial parade and musical evening held on 19 April 2024 at the camp premises.

In a solemn ceremony overflowing with respect and admiration, the Officers of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) bid farewell to Lieutenant Colonel B K Sugathapala USP on his retirement from the Sri Lanka Army. The formal farewell dinner with a profound sense of gratitude and camaraderie was held at the Officers Mess of the Regimental Centre on 8th April 2024.
