Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police together with 2nd Regiment, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police showing its compassion towards the well - being of one of the former SLCMP Soldier's family - Corporal Abeyrathna GMRS (Late), built a new house in Anguruwella area was handed over to the deserving widow, Mrs Dilani Priyashanthi Abeyrathna, a mother of two children who had been living without a proper shelter during a simple ceremony on 08 September (Morning) 2023.

The Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General H L V M Liyanage RWP RSP ndu paid his maiden visit to the Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police on Friday morning (01) September 2023. A Guard Turnout salute in accordance with military traditions, presented by SLCMP Regimental troops honoured the day’s Chief Guest on arrival at the entrance to the Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police before he was warmly welcomed by the Provost Marshal of SL Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General A C A De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc. After the army chief accorded a Guard of honour in General Scarlet at the Parade ground of Regimental Centre.

The Special Investigation Unit-Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police arranged the cleaning programme on 18 August 2023 at Wellawatte Coastal Area under the direction of Major General A C A De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc, the Provost Marshal of Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police with the supervision of Colonel MMMP Mahesh Kumara , the Commanding Officer of Special Investigation Unit with the aim of encouraging the individuals and the public to protect the environment. The beach patch remained badly-polluted due to heaps of pollutants, like polythene waste, empty plastic bottles, etc for a long time before the troops organized the project and 100 troops contributed their manpower to the success of the event.
