Newly appointed President Assumes Duties at the SLAGSC Seva Vanitha Branch

Mrs Himali Pussella, the new President of the SLAGSC Seva Vanitha Branch assumed office at the Seva Vanitha Office at the Regimental Headquarters on Wednesday (21) morning during a brief ceremony that preceded religious observances.

Mrs Himali Pussella on arrival was received by Mrs Nilathi De Zoysa, Vice President, SLAGSC Seva Vanitha Branch, offering a bouquet of flowers.

After religious observances, she inaugurated the office after lighting the traditional oil lamp and placed her signature in an official document.

AGM of the SLAGSC Seva Vanitha Branch was held with Pride.....

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) – 2022 of the SLAGSC Seva Vanitha Branch was held on 26 May 2023 at the SLAGSC Lecture Hall. The AGM was chaired by the President of the SLAGSC Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs Ruvina Mettananda and was attended by its member spouses of Officers and ORs,Lady Officers together with Coordinators of the SLAGSC Seva Vanitha Branch..

SLAGSC Seva Vanitha Branch celebrates New Year in a grand style.....

The Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps Seva Vanitha Branch organizes a New Year Pola followed by opening of a new accommodation area for Lady Soldiers, give away of Ration packs to all civil staff under the Regiment and gifting stationary items for Grade 5 scholorship winners with the guidance of the Seva Vanitha Branch President Mrs Ruvina Mettananda.

The event took place at the Regiment premises with the gracious participation of the Sri Lanka Army Seva Vanitha Unit President Mrs Janaki Liyanage as the Chief Guest.

SLAGSC SEVA VANITHA BRANCH CELEBRATES INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

In par with the International Women's Day, the Seva Vanitha Branch of SLAGSC organized a Yoga Programme conducted by Indian Yoga Acharya Manoharan Geethakumari Migilesh. The event was made successful with the guidance of Mrs Ruvina Mettananda the President of the SLAGSC Seva Vanitha Branch. A 2 hours Session of adding energy, strength and beauty to the body, mind and soul gave a new beginning to the continuous hectic schedule of 150 participants including Seva Vanitha members, Lady Officers and Lady ORs.

SLAGSC Seva Vanitha Branch Organized a Fair and a Book Donation Programme....

SLAGSC Seva Vanitha Branch Organized a Fair to ease the daily expenses of soldiers and a Book Donation Programme for children of Grade 01 to 05 Under the guidance of the President of the Sri Lanka Army Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs Janaki Liyanage. The Branch conducted a special donation programme of donating School Bags, Books and stationary for the children in order to ease the expenses of parents to educate future leaders with the guidance and support of the President of SLAGSC Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs Ruvina Mettananda.

SLAGSC SVB visits War Heroes at Abhimansala III

The SLAGSC Seva Vanitha Branch President Mrs Ruvina Mettananda, Colonel Commandant of SLAGSC Maj Gen M W T C Mettananda USP ndc, Centre Commandant Colonel P R Samaraweera together with many Seva Vanitha Members, Lady Officers and several Senior Officers visited the injured War Heroes and inquired about their wellbeing.

The event was started with the ward Visit by officials who graced the occasion, and presented gifts for each and every one of them. Rest of the programme was commenced with tea and followed up with an entertainment session.

WORKSHOP TO EMPOWER SELF EMPLOYMENT

Under the guidance of the President, SLAGSC Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs Ruvina Mettanada and coordinated by Mrs.Rukmani Rathnayake, a member of the Seva Vanitha Branch, a workshop on “Empowering Self Employment” was conducted by Mr Pasindu Rathnasekara, Lecturer of University of Sri Jayawardenapura, Founder and CEO of Eclipse (Pvt) Ltd at the Regimental Lecture Hall on 12 Nov 2022.

Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps New Seva Vanitha President Assumed Duties

New President of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs Ruvina Mettananda assumed duties on 10 September 2022 at the Regimental Headquarters.

After assuming duties, the new President made a brief address and requested everyone's supports to enhance the welfare activities.

Executive office bearers of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps Seva Vanitha Unit took part at the brief ceremony.

DISTRIBUTION OF DRY RATION PACKS FOR EXPECTANT MOTHERS, SPECTACLES FOR ARMY PERSONNEL AND BLOOD DONATION CAMPAIGN – 2022

The Programme of distributing dry ration packs for expectant mothers, spectacles for Army personnel and blood donation campaign organized by the Seva Vanitha Branch of Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps, as part of another social responsibility initiated and concepted by the President of the Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs Eranga Hewawasam, was held at the Corporals’ Club, Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps on 29th July 2022.
