SLAGSC Seva Vanitha Branch Conducts Alms Giving and Dansala

With the support of the Colonel Commandant of SLAGSC and under the guidance of the President Mrs. Nayomani De Silva the SLAGSC Seva Vanitha Branch organized a meritorious almsgiving and a dansala on 14 March 2026 in celebration of International Women’s Day.

During the morning session alms were offered to twelve members of the Maha Sangha. In the evening a noodles dansala was held at the Sri Lankarama Temple premises where meals were served to over 2,000 devotees.

SLAGSC SEVA VANITHA BRANCH CONDUCTS SCHOOL BOOK DONATION PROGRAMME FOR CHILDREN OF SOLDIERS

The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps (SLAGSC) successfully conducted a School Book Donation Programme for 330 children of SLAGSC soldiers on 10 February 2026 at the Conference Hall of SLAGSC.

The programme was organised under the guidance of the President of the SLAGSC Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs. N. K. De Silva, and with the direction of Brigadier M.K.S.S. De Silva, the Colonel Commandant of SLAGSC. The event was coordinated and organized with the support of the commanding officer of 4 SLAGSC.

SLAGSC SEVA VANITHA BRANCH HOSTS BLOOD DONATION DRIVE.

Under the leadership of Mrs PNK De Silva, the president of the SLAGSC Seva Vanitha Branch, a commendable blood donation programme was organised in collaboration with the 306 D2 Kalubovila Lions International Club on 24 January 2026 at Isipathanarama Temple, Nawinna.

The event was guided by the Colonel Commandant of SLAGSC and the Centre Commandant of SLAGSC.

The donated blood was generously given to Maharagama Apeksha Cancer Hospital, supporting the vital work they do for cancer patients.

The SLAGSC Seva Vanitha Branch Under the guidance of Brigadier MKSS De Silva the Colonel Commandant of SLAGSC ,Mrs Nayomani De Silva The President of the Seva Vanitha Branch and The Centre Commandant of SLAGSC, on 17 December 2025 distributed essential aid to 165 army personnel devastated by the Ditwa flood.

According to guidance given by the Colonel Commandant SLAGSC Brig MKSS De Silva, Mrs. Nayomani De Silva, the President of the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps actively distributed 1,350 dinner packs each including bottled water and yoghurt to flood-affected families in the Malwana area on 4th December 2025.

This initiative aims to provide essential support to those affected, ensuring they have access to food and clean drinking water.

The donation of books to the library of the Kachchigala Vidyalaya in Embilipitiya, a difficult school, was done by the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps Seva Vanitha Branch with the support of the Lions Club.

The SLAGSC Seva Vanitha President, the SLAGSC Centre Commandant, the Commandant of the SLAGSC Trade School, several Lions Club members and a group of SLAGC Seva Vanitha Branch members participated.

The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps Donated Science Lab Equipment and Books to President’s College, Embilipitiya.

The President of the Seva Vanitha Branch SLAGSC, Mrs Nayomani De Silva, together with Seva Vanitha members, carried out another generous initiative to enhance educational facilities by donating science laboratory equipment, books, and stationery worth more than Rs. 400,000 with the support of the Lions Club.
