The President and all the members of Seva Vanitha Branch of SLAGSC bid a heartfelt farewell to Dr Mrs Himali Niyangoda the former President of Seva Vanitha Branch of SLAGSC this memorable ceremony was held at the RHQ Officers Mess on January 10, 2025 Dr Niyangoda's leadership and dedication to the organization were celebrated with the vibrant and joyful event.
The event was graced by the Major General AMKGPSK Abeysinghe, the DGFM and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps and Mrs. Thushari Abeysinghe, the President of the Seva Vanitha Branch as chief guests. Most of the members and their families also participated.
The hall was filled with noises and laughter of the audience. At the end of the drama show every spectator experiences the immersive enjoyment of a stage drama.
Under the guidance of the President of the Seva Vanitha Branch, SLAGSC, a special Children's Activity Day was organized on 26 October at the APTS Gymnasium in Panagoda, in celebration of World Children's Day. The event was graced by the DGFM and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps, Major General AMKGPSK Abeysinghe, and Mrs. Thushari Abeysinghe, President of the Seva Vanitha Branch, as the chief guests
With the participation and guidance of the Colonel Commandant of SLAGSC, Maj Gen A M K G P S K Abeysinghe, and the President of the Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs. Thushari Abeysinghe, ten senior members of the Seva Vanitha Branch, accompanied by the Center Commandant, Col T G N De Silva, conducted a visit to the Indira Cancer Trust and Suwa Arana on 25 September 2024.
Under the supervision and guidance of Mrs. Thushari Abeysinghe the president of Seva Vanitha Branch SLAGSC, the Annual General Meeting was held at the Regimental headquarters lecture hall on 10 August 2024 with the presence of Seniors members, Lady offers, and spouse's of other rankers.
On the 15th of July 2024 (Monday) at approximately 11:40am, Mrs. Thushari Abeysinghe assumed duties as the President of Seva Vanitha Branch, SLAGSC in an official ceremony at the Regimental Headquarters.
On arrival, she was received by Mrs. Chathurani Ovitigala, Secretary to the Branch and executive Seva Vanitha members Mrs. Nayomi De Silva and Mrs. Achini Mahakumbura.
The honorable president of Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps Dr.(Mrs) Himali Niyangoda, honorable vice president Thushari Abeysinghe, Centre Commandant SLAGSC Colonel T G N De Silva with the coordination of Commanding Officer 2 (V) SLAGSC Major P D S N Gunarathna and the staff successfully launched another project on 19.06.2024 to benefit the children in need, identifying the under-privileged schools within the area.
The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps headed by Dr.(Mrs) Himali Niyangoda, Commanding Officer 4 SLAGSC Major Inoka Wadumethri and the staff launched the recent project with the focus on community service benefiting the needy children and the under-privileged schools within the area, to be in line with 75th Army Day celebrations. Hoping for a better future, the Seva Vanitha Branch of the SLAGSC prioritizes the betterment of the children.
