A Shramadana (cleansing) programme was conducted on 07 August 2025 around the Sri Thilakaramaya Temple, located within the 211 Infantry Brigade Headquarters area under the 21 Infantry Division Headquarters of the Security Force Headquarters (Wanni). The event was organized under the guidance of Major General M W A R C Wijesuriya RSP USP ndc, General Officer Commanding, 21 Infantry Division, and the supervision of Brigadier T D P Siriwardena psc, Commander 211 Infantry Brigade.
This community initiative was carried out in preparation for a Dhamma Deshana and Pirith chanting ceremony scheduled for 09 August 2025, with the aim of preserving the temple’s dilapidated Stupa.
Officers and other ranks (01 x 09) of the 9th Gajaba Regiment actively participated in the Shramadana effort.
