The Commander Security Forces (Wanni), Major General K M P S B Kulatunga RSP ndc psc, made his first official visit to 54 Infantry Division and under command Brigades on 29 March 2025 after assuming the duties of his office.
The General Officer Commanding 54 Infantry Division, Major General A M C P Wijayaratne RWP RSP nps psc, Brigade Commanders of 541, 542 and 543 Infantry Brigades, Staff Officers of 54 Infantry Division and the Commanding Officers extended a warm welcome to the Commander, Security Forces (Wanni) on his arrival to the camp premises.
In accordance with military traditions, Commander Security Forces (Wanni) upon arrival at the premises, honoured with a Drive Past presented by 11 Artillery Regiment. As the first segment of the day's proceedings, the Commander Security Forces (Wanni) paid floral tribute to the fallen War Heroes at the monument in Division Headquarters.
Thereafter, The Commander Security Forces (Wanni) participated for officer's group photograph with the General Officer Commanding, Brigade Commanders, Senior Officers and Officers serving under the Division Headquarters. Subsequently, he planted a coconut sapling in front of the office complex to symbolizing on his visit.
Afterwards, a comprehensive briefing was conducted by the General Officer Commanding, all Brigade Commanders and Senior Intelligence Officer of 54 Infantry Division. Moreover, He addressed the under-command troops of the 54 Infantry Division and emphasized that importance of training, maintaining personnel discipline, behaving as responsible soldiers and to ensure the dignity of the victorious Sri Lanka Army before sharing traditional cup of tea with all ranks.
Finally, the Commander, Security Forces (Wanni), visited the Mannar area and 541 Infantry Brigade-Kalliyadi as the culmination of the day's events.
