The 543 Infantry Brigade celebrated its 14th Anniversary with a series of meaningful events held from 15 to 20 January 2025, fostering community engagement and strengthening camaraderie among the troops.
The celebrations commenced on 15 January 2025 with the distribution of school accessories to the children of St. Sebesthin School, followed by a lunch organized for the student, creating a joyful and supportive atmosphere.
As part of the national “ Clean Sri Lanka” initiative under the theme beautiful island troops of the 543 infantry Brigade participated in a beach cleaning program at Pesalai Beach on 16 January 2025. The effort aimed to promore environmental conservation and community awareness.
On 18 January 2025, a Bodhi Pooja ceremony was conducted at Swarnabimbaramaya Temple, South Bar, Mannar, invoking blessings for the Brigade’s continued success and prosperity.
The celebrations concluded on 20 January 2025 with a troop address and all – rank lunch , graced by the presence of Colonel K A P Karavita RSP USP, Overlooking Brigade Commander of the 543 Infantry Brigade. The event fostered unity and emphasized the collective commitment of the Brigade towards excellence in service.
