The troops of 10 (V) Gemunu Watch under command to 541 Infantry Brigade assist to restoration of partially damaged Kudariwaththakulam tank bund on 24 October 2024, As per the instruction of the General Officer Commanding 54 Infantry Division, Major General Rohan Rajapaksha with the guidance of Commander 541 Infantry Brigade, Colonel Prasad Jayasinghe and with the supervision of Commanding Officer 10 (V) Gemunu Watch, Lieutenant Colonel Senarath Bandara, the troops managed to restore the damaged area of the tank bund within couple of hours by using sand bags.
Further Sri Lanka Navy and Officials of the Irrigation department also joined to the Restoration effort.
