The General Officer Commanding of the 56 Infantry Division, Major General S. Kasturimudali RSP ndc psc, paid a formal visit to the 563 Infantry Brigade and the battalions of the 11 Gemunu Watch and the 7 Sinha Regiment on 3 October 2024.
The General Officer Commanding was welcomed according to traditional military customs by the Commanding Officer, officers, and all troops of the 11 Gemunu Watch. He then addressed the troops before proceeding to the 563 Infantry Brigade.
At the 563 Infantry Brigade, he was received by the Brigade Commander. During his short stay, the General Officer Commanding signed the Visitors' Book at the brigade headquarters before moving on to the 7 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment.
At the 7 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, the General Officer Commanding was welcomed with traditional military customs by the Commanding Officer, officers, and all troops, with a Guard Turnout at the main entrance. He then addressed the troops.
The Brigade Commander of the 563 Infantry Brigade, Colonel General Staff, and the Commanding Officers participated in the event.
