Principal, teachers and students at Madukanda National School on 13 Sep 2024 gave a red-carpet welcome to the 56-division commander, Major General S kasturimudali RSP psc ndc when he arrived at the school premises for awards of badges to the school prefects at the invitation of its principal and teachers.
Commander 56 Division Major General S Kasturimudali RSP psc ndc on arrival was greeted to a salute, presented by school Oriental Band in the school and the National Anthem after wards added dignity and pride to the day’s proceedings before the Division Commander was invited on the stage. There were 32 prefects awarded prefect Badges by the Division Commander in the company of the principal. Likewise, prefects and students took an oath.
Towards the end of the presentation of prefect badges, the Commander 56 Division made a brief address to the occasion, in which he underlines the importance of becoming a leader in society through discipline and commitment.
