SECRETARY TO THE MINISTRY OF DEFENCE VISITS THE SANDAHIRU SAYA

An inspection visit was conducted by General Kamal Gunaratne (Rtd) WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc MPhil, the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, together with Major General W.P.A.D.W Nanayakkara RSP VSV USP ndu, the Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Forces, along with Major General J P C Peiris RWP RSP ndc Commander Security Forces (Wanni) at morning hours on 31 August 2024. The purpose of the visit was to inspect the ongoing “Sandahiru Saya” projects.

During his visit to ‘‘Sandahiru Saya’’, the Secretary to the Ministry of Defense looked into the ongoing construction and gave necessary instructions regarding the problems arising there. Here, the Project Officer of the “Sandahiru Saya” project also made a short briefing about the construction, that are ongoing during the visit.

Major General D P Welagedara RSP USP psc IG Military Liaison Officer Ministry of Defence, Major General W M S C K Wanasinghe RSP USP General Officer Commanding 21 Infantry Division, Brigadier R M C Ratnayake RWP RSP USP Commander 212 Infantry Brigade and staff Officers of the Sandahiru Saya project also took part in the visit.
