VISIT OF GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING 21 INFANTRY DIVISION TO 213 INFANTRY BRIGADE AND UNDER COMMAND BATTALIONS

Major General WMSCK Wanasinghe RSP USP, General Officer Commanding of 21 Infantry Division made his maiden official visit to 213 Infantry Brigade and its under command battalions of 2 Mechanize Infantry Regiment, 2(V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment and 5 Sri Lanka National Guard on 23 July 2024.

General Officer Commanding of 21 Infantry Division was warmly welcomed by the Over Looking Commander 213 Infantry Brigade, Colonel LAR Gunaratne RSP USP IG. The formal procedures commenced with a Guard Turnout and a sapling was planted near the office premises before he attends for the briefings.

Thereafter, General Officer Commander appeared for a memorable group photograph in front of office premises and addressed the under command troops at the brigade lecture hall. He shared valuable insights and given relevant instructions during his troop address.

Then he visited Regional Ordnance Depot (Gajasinghapura), 2 Mechanize Infantry Regiment, 2(V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment and 5 Sri Lanka National Guard respectively completing the day’s proceedings.
