ASSUMESED DUTIES OF COMMANDER 561 INFANTRY BRIGADE

Brigadier B D Fernando USP hdmc psc, assumed duties as the 11th Commander of the 561 Infantry Brigade amid religious blessings at the 561 Infantry Brigade Headquarters premises at Kanakarayankulam, on 15 July 2024.

The newly-appointed Commander was warmly welcomed by Staff Officers and saluted in a Guard Turnout presented by troops of 16th Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment. Further, Commander planted a sapling in camp premises, signed the official document to mark the assuming of his duties amidst 'Seth Pirith' chanting in line with addressed the all Officers and Other Ranks while expressing his vision for the Brigade in the future with the participation of Commanding Officers of under command battalions, Staff Officers and Other Ranks of the 561 Infantry Brigade.
