Extending the human generosity, Jaffna Teaching Hospital conducted special surgery program for screened patients in remote areas of Manthai East Division Mullaitivu District on 26 March 2024 at Teaching Hospital Jaffna. Dr Malaravan with the assistance of Dr Thileepan, medical team of the Teaching Hospital Jaffna eye unit, collaborate with Army Base Hospital Palaly under SFHQ (J) conducted this cataract surgery for the 88 of patients, who were identified as needing cataract surgeries through stage 3 screening in Manthai East Mullaitivu district in partnership with 56 Division.
On the invitation of the doctors of Jaffna Teaching Hospital, 56 Infantry Division Commander Major General S. Kasturimudali RSP ndc psc visited the eye unit of Jaffna Teaching Hospital to witness the 88 beneficiaries undergone of surgery.
