CONDUCTING OF MEDICAL CAMP AND DONATING OF SPECTACLES FOR VISION IMPAIRED PEOPLE AT PALINAGAR

The 10 Sri Lanka Light Infantry of 56 Infantry Division, coordinated a medical camp with the aim of assisting vision impaired people in Palinagar area on 14 March 2024 at the camp premises. This programme is scheduled under two stages. As the first stage, targeted 275 of vision impairment people for eye checkup. It extends to second stage with donating of spectacles and taking them for surgeries.

Programme was launched under the guidance and direction of General Officer Commanding 56 Infantry Division, Major General S Kasturimudali RSP ndc psc with coordination of Commander 561 Infantry Brigade Colonel M A G Malandeniya RSP and Commanding Officer of 10 SLLI Major K A K Hewapathage RWP RSP USP with the generous contribution of Secretary of Assist Rehabilitation and Resettlement Organization, Dr. Sarveswaran. Furthermore refreshments were served for those who screened at medical Camp.

The General Officer Commanding of 56 Infantry Division, Staff of Assist Rehabilitation and Resettlement Organization, Colonel Coordinating of 56 Infantry Division, Commanding Officer 10 SLLI, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated for the event.
