DISTRIBUTION OF SCHOOL BOOKS FOR SCHOOL STUDENTS OF LOW - INCOME FAMILIES UNDER COMMUNITY CARE PROGRAMME

The succeeding of future studies for 253 students of Echchalawaka GTMS and Periyamadu Maha Vidyalayawho have belong to low-income families residing in the 541 Infantry Brigade AOR. A donation of school books was carried out on 07‍ Feb 2024 with the coordination of 541 Infantry Brigade and Commando Regiment Special Warfare Training School at Periyamdu Maha Vidyalaya. Further Commander 541 Infantry Brigade Brigadier BYC Fernando RWP USP, Commandant CRSWTS, Officers and other rankers and officials of Red Cross branch Vavuniya, Principals/Teachers and Students attended for this event. The equipment given to school students included exercise books. The financial contribution for this school books was made by Mr. Anton Pranidanayagam Chairmen of Red Cross and his staff at Vavuniya branch.
