Troops of the 9th Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard of the 593 Infantry Brigade under the 68 Infantry Division, re-affirming their humane approach and magnanimity towards all, irrespective of ethnicity or social status, built a new kitchen and new dining hall to “Annei purani” Pre School on 29th January 2024.
Generous troops of the 9 Sri Lanka National Guard on being informed of Difficulties of the preschool children and raised their own men and materials for the construction of a kitchen unit and a fully fledged dining hall. This has been funded by “Miracle Restoration Ministries incorporated - Australia” with the coordination of Dr Sriyani Wickramanayake.
The project got underway with the guidance of Major General S Kasturimudalai RSP ndc psc, General Officer Commanding 68 Infantry Division and it was supervised by Major HPI Kumara, Commanding Officer, 9 Sri Lanka National Guard who provided his troops' expertise and their manpower to erect this much-needed unit for the future generation of the country.
Major General S Kasturimudalai RSP ndc psc, General Officer Commanding 68 Infantry Division Brigadier S Wijesiriwardana RWP RSP, Commander, 681 Infantry Brigade together with a few senior Officers, Officers and Other rankers were participated in the event.
