The 21 Infantry Division bid farewell to its outgoing General Officer Commanding Major General IANB Perera RWP USP ndu psc on 10 January 2024 at 21 Infantry Division premises with a formal ceremony which filled with military traditions. Outgoing General Officer Commanding has been designated as the Military Secretary.
On arrival, the outgoing General Officer Commanding was accorded a Guard Turnout at the camp entrance. Afterwards, he was invited to take the salute of the Guard of Honour, presented by troops of the Gajaba Regiment. Afterwards, he placed his signature in an official document signifying the handing over of his duties at his office.
After that a group photograph was taken in front of the Headquarter office. Afterwards, General Officer Commanding 21 Infantry Division addressed the troops where he offered his sincere gratitude to all ranks served in respective formations for high standards of professionalism maintained and service rendered to have a peaceful environment while promoting civil-military coordination in the area.
There after All Rank tea was held and token of appreciation was presented to outgoing General Officer Commanding 21 Infantry Division.
