The Commander Security Forces (Wanni) – SFHQ (W) Major General W P A D W Nanayakkara RSP VSV USP ndu paid an official visit to the 3rd Regiment Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps (3 SLAMC) on 29 November 2023. The Commander, Security Forces on his arrival at the 3 SLAMC premises was welcomed by the commanding officer, Major S H S Madubhashini USP, participated for the participated for the group photograph with all Officers and Other Ranks in the battalion followed by Sandalwood sapling was planted at the premises of headquarters office complex.
Later, the commanding officer briefed the Commander Security Forces regarding role and task, the deployment of medical establishments and medical professionals within SFHQ (W) AOR and courses conducted by the 3rd SLAMC through a comprehensive presentation. Further the Commander Security Forces had a productive discussion regarding health promotion and awareness programs for the troops within SFHQ (W) AOR.
Then Commander Security Forces visited to the construction site of the prefabricated building allocated to the Military Nursing Training School. The Commanding Officer 2nd ESR was also participated for the occasion and Security Force Commander gave directions to speedup the construction process.
Then he visited to Other Ranks living accommodation and after that the Commanding officer given a memento to mark the visit of 3rd Regiment of the Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps. Finally the Commander Security Forces was remarked the visit by signing a visitors book.
During his visit Commander Security Forces didn’t forget to visit the General Denzil Kobbekaduwa memorial military ward at the Teaching Hospital Anuradhapura. The Commander Security Forces discussed with the inward military patients and inspect the facilities of the ward and gave directions to improve them. Then Commander Security Forces also had a inspection regarding the ongoing constructions carrying out by the Sri Lanka Army at Teaching Hospital Premises. The deputy director of the Teaching Hospital Anuradhapura also participated to the occasion.
