COMMANDER SECURITY FORCE (WANNI) MADE HIS MAIDEN VISIT TO 21 INFANTRY DIVISION AFTER ASSUMED OFFICE

The Commander Security Force (Wanni), Major General W P A D W Nanayakkara RSP VSV USP ndu made his maiden visit to 21 Infantry Division on 16 October 2023.

The General Officer Commanding 21 Infantry Division Major General I A N B Perera RSP USP ndu psc, Brigade Commanders of 211, 212 and 213 Infantry Brigades, Staff Officers of 21 Infantry Division and the Commanding Officers extended a warm welcome to the Security Force Commander on the arrival at main entrance accord with traditional military customs.

Then, Commander Security Force (Wanni) planted a sapling in Division Headquarters Office Complex to commemorate the visit and appeared for a group photograph. Subsequently, a comprehensive briefing was done to acquaint the operational and administrative aspects of the 21 Infantry Division by the General Officer Commanding at the Conference Hall in the presence of Brigade Commanders and Staff Officers of the 21 Infantry Division.

Thereafter, Commander Security Forces Headquarters (Wanni) addressed the under-command troops of the 21 Infantry Division and emphasized the significant of continuation of training, maintaining of discipline and dealing with the responsibility should ensure the enhancement of the image of the victorious Army. Further, he elaborated that, importance of maintaining a balance between Army and personal life and responsibility vested on their shoulders as responsible citizens. Moreover, Security Force Commander instructed for commanders of all levels, be focused to reduce the AWOL rate of particular Headquarters and to follow viable remedial actions to address the issues related to the AWOL.

Thereafter, Commander Security Force (Wanni) visited the 211 Infantry Brigade AOR at Walioya as the last segment of the days programme
