Troops of 15(V) Sri Lanka Singhe Regiment under 562 Infantry Brigade extended their helping hand to the 40 students of low income families by giving away school shoes on 09th May 2023 at Headquarters of 15(V) Sri Lanka Singhe Regiment on request of the school principal Mr. Selwaraja Pathmanadan.
This welfare project sponsored by the philanthropist Mr. R M Pathiraja in Kurunagala and it was coordinated by the Commanding Officer of 15(V) Sri Lanka Singhe Regiment Major A M D S Thilakarathne. The event was organized under the guidance of Brigadier J M A Jayasekera RSP, USP Commander, 562 Infantry Brigade.
The General Officer Commanding of 56 Infantry Division Major General H G P M Kariyawasam RSP ndc psc IG graced the occasion as the chief guest. The Colonel General Staff 56 Infantry Division, Civil Affair Officer of 562 Infantry Brigade, GS of Sinnavalayankaddu, principal, teachers, beneficiaries and troops of 15(V) Sri Lanka Singhe Regiment attended to the event. The event was terminated after tea party with all participants.
