HELPING HANDS TO THE PATIENTS FROM TROOPS OF SECURITY FORCE (WANNI)

Teaching Hospital – Anuradhapura is one of the major hospital in North Central Province and a large numbers patients are coming to this hospital for treatments daily. Many wheel chairs in this hospital cannot be put into use due to various defects. Due to the shortage of wheel chairs the patients as well as the hospital staff are undergoing lot of hardships and embarrassments.

In view of this situation at the request of the Director of the hospital, the Commander Security Force (Wanni), Major General Champaka Ranasinghe RWP RSP made arrangements to repair the wheel chairs which were not used due to various defects. Accordingly under the guidance of Commander, Security Force (Wanni), in the first stage 35 wheel chairs were repaired and handed over to the hospital by 5th Regiment of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers on Sunday (16) with the participation of Commander, Security Force (Wanni), Doctors and Staff of the hospital, Commanding Officer – 3rd Regiment of Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps and several members of Army personals.
