DISTRIBUTION OF DONATIONS FOR NEEDY FAMILIES IN WEHERATHENNA VILLAGE

The 11th Gemunu Watch conducted a dry ration packs and school accessories donation programme at Weherathenna Sri Rathnasara temple on 05 April 2023. Worth of Rs.10,000.00 dry ration packs and school accessories ware donated with Rs.6,000.00 rupees in cash for 180 Nos of each families in Weherathenna Grama Niladhari Division.

This programme was sponsored by owner of the “Glorious Sun Company” Dr. Anju and Professor Ven. Dhammajothi thero, along with Hong Kong “Buddhist Association”. The program was organized by Ven. Kelepuliyankulama Wanarathna thero.

General Officer Commanding 62 Infantry Division Major General R A J N Ranasinghe RSP USP ndc, graced the occasion as the chief guest. The Civil Affairs Officer - 62 Infantry Division, Officer Commanding of the 11thGemunu Watch - “A” Company and Officer In Charge - Bogaswewa police station also participated for the event.
