Educational equipment and books were donated among 90 students from lower income families at the Mayurawapi Sunday Schhol, Gajabapura on 02 April 2023.
The project was sponsored and funded by the Rev. Dankotuwe Chandrarathana Therowho is the founder of the “Budumaga Paramitha Foundation” with the assistance of local and foreign donors in accordance with their annual educational equipment donation programme marking the consecuitive 12th year. This programme facilitated to ease off the economic burdens to supply educational accessories of all families sending their children to the Mayurawapi Sunday School. The academic staff of the Sunday school also gifted with a valuable gift besides from the donation to the students.
The donation programme was coordinated and organized by the 14 (V) Sri Lanka Lighit Infantry troops with the close supervision of Major KBG Attanayake - Officers Commanding 14 (V) Sri Lanka Lighit Infantry, under the guidance of the Brigadier IN Kandanaarachchi RSP - Comander, 621 Infantry Brigade. The project was scheduled as per the instructions and directions of the Major General RAJN Ranasinghe RSP USP ndc - General Officer Commanding 62 Infantry Division who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
