Prior to the anniversary day, troops conducted a “Bodhi Pooja” at evening hours on 06 March 2023 after inviting member of Maha Sanga with guidance of the Commander Security Force Wanni, Major General Champaka Ranasinghe.
On 16 March troops visited the Ruwanveli Maha Seya and offered a “Chathu Madura Poojawa” with intention of invoking merits of fallen War Heroes and receiving blessings for the troops.
Meanwhile, saw monks at Bodhidakshinarama Viharaya, Vavuniya were offered alms at morning hours on 17 March 2023 and the troops conducted Christian religious pogramme in St Josephs’ Church Medawachchiya on same day before attending Islamic religious blessing in Grand Jummah Mosque in Vavuniya. In Last, a Kovil Pooja held at the Mondimurippu Vinyagar Kovil (Pulliyar Kovil).
