INSPIRING OF THE NORTHERN STUDENTS WITH MASTERPIECES OF SINHALA LITERATURE

According to concept and guidance of General Officer Commanding – 65 Infantry Division Major General Prasad Edirisinghe 65 Infantry Division organized the distribution of Tamil translations of the novels and short stories books written by Martin Wickramamsinghe. The sets of books were distributed for 25 schools in Mallavi, Thunukkai, Mulankavil, Nochichikuda and Madu areas and the resources were coordinated by Civil Affairs Officer of 65 Infantry Division Lt Col J D U T Kumara RSP with the sponsorship of Shanthi Foundation, Colombo. The respective brigades with their battalions organized the distribution events on 15 and 16 November. The Commander 65 Infantry Division graced the major events as the Chief Guest.
