CONDUCTED A LECTURE ON LEADERSHIP FOR OFFICERS IN SF (WANNI)

As per the guidance of Commander Security Forces (Wanni) Major General C D Ranasinghe RWP RSP, General Officer Commanding 56 Infantry Division Major General L D S S Liyanage RSP USP psc Hdmc was invited to deliver the lecture on “Leadership”. This was attended by 171 Officers in Security Forces (Wanni) AOR on 17th February 2022, at Auditorium of SFHQ (Wanni).

During the lecture Major General Saman Liyanage categorically highlighted the characteristics associated with leadership, military leadership, difference between the manager vs leader, leadership qualities and guidelines, emotional intelligence of leadership and leadership competency. He also highlighted the importance of such traits by way of influence, guidance and promoting skills and abilities as leaders. The Brigadier General Staff Security Forces (Wanni), Senior Officers and Officers attended the lecture.
