CONDUCTED SCHOOL ITEMS DISTRIBUTION PROGRAMME FOR NEEDY STUDENTS AT IRANAMATHANAGAR ROMAN CATHOLIC SCHOOL IN 651 INF BDE AOR

With the direction of General Officer Commanding of 65 Infantry Division Major General K A Samarasiri RWP RSP USP psc, under the supervision of Commander 651 Infantry Brigade Brigadier K M W Bandara RSP and the coordination of Commanding Officer 19 SLLI - Major Kudachchige Asanka, troops of 19th Battalion of Sri Lanka Light Infantry conducted school items distribution programme for needy students at Iranamathanagar Roman Catholic School in 651 Infantry Brigade AOR on 8th February 2022. General Officer Commanding of 65 Infantry Division Major General K A Samarasiri RWP RSP USP psc participated for the event as the Chief Guest with his spouse.

63 Students were selected from Iranamathanagar Roman Catholic School, Mulankavil National School, Nachchikuda Tamil Mix School, Vellankulam Tamil Mix School, Kaneshapuram Primary School, Thewanpiddy Roman Catholic Tamil Mix School and Kalvilan Government Tamil Mix School. Army Offices, Other Ranks, Teachers, Students and Civilians attended for the aforesaid programme.
