74TH INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS AT SECURITY FORCES HEADQUARTERS (WANNI)

Security Forces Headquarters (Wanni) celebrated the 74th Independence Day under the instruction of Commander Security Forces (Wanni) Major General C D Ranasinghe RWP RSP on 4th February 2022 with the participation of all Officers and Other Ranks of Security Forces Headquarters (Wanni).

The formal function was held, in front of the office complex of Security Forces Headquarters (Wanni) and National flag hosted by Brigadier Administration and Quartering Security Forces (Wanni) Brigadier O M D Gunasinghe. Two minutes silence was observed by the Officers and Other Ranks to pay tribute the war heroes who lost lives in the North East war. After that the Brigadier Administration and Quartering delivered a speech about importance of Independence Day. Thereafter 74 Mango plants were planted in Security Forces Headquarters (Wanni) premises to mark the 74th Independence Day.

Brigadier Administration and Quartering Brigadier O M D Gunasinghe, Brigadier General Staff Brigadier D N J Fernando RSP USP along with all Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and civil staff performing duties at Security Forces Headquarters (Wanni) made their presence for the event.
