To be in companion with the government organic fertilizer production process as per instructions given by Chief of Defence Staff and the Commander of the Army, General Shavendra Silva to all formations instructed by Commander Security Forces (Wanni), Major General Champaka Ranasinghe, Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Major General Ashoka Peiris and 4th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps(4 SLSC) troops initiated a fertilizer processing at HQ 4 SLSC premises in ANURADHAPURA with the supervision of Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Darshana Muthugala with the aim of increasing organic fertilizer production for Security Forces (Wanni) to support government organic fertilizer production process.
On 2nd February 2022 , troops of 4 SLSC handed over its first carbonic fertilizer stock of 10,000 Kgs to the Ceylon Fertilizer Company Limited (Lak Pohora) in KIRALOGAMA branch.
In future 4 SLSC is planned to increase its production with large scale by using machineries and latest technologies with support of expertise’s in field of government sector.
